Wow. It has been over 2 years since I have posted on this blog. Not a lot has changed. I still try new products and I still an influenced to buy a lot of products. The downside of that is that I get a ton of cool products and do not always get to use them or they are forgotten. Because of this, I decided to do a Project Use It Up. In fact, I am doing two; one featured here and another, featuring beauty and makeup, that which will be on my beauty blog Lipstick Bites. For this specific project, I chose to tackle my ever-growing planner supplies. I have chosen 5 products–ok, some of the products are actually several things that make up one thing–that I want to use up or make a dent in by the end of 2018. So, 3 months to make a big impact on my planner supplies (lies).

Seems easy enough. Check which products I use after the jump!
At this point, I have so many stickers, pens, washi tapes and even multiple planners for the year. I do not think it is even possible to get through everything in any reasonable amount of time, let alone three months, but here we are with my first product.
Washi tape. I mean, here is the deal, I could realistically put like 10 different washi tapes in here but I chose these two because they aren’t my favorite and they are pretty small. Basically, I just want them out of my collection.
I wasn’t quote sure how to track my progress on these at first but then I just decided to use this very trusty old envelope that I know I will not lose or destroy by my next update

My next goal is to use up some of these bad boys. These little post-it-esque paper bag notes are actually really cute but does anyone really need that many sticky notes? Apparently I do, as I can build a pyramid with mine. Anyways, these are cute and I tend to over look them in favor of my favorite yellow sticky note, so I wanted to make sure to give these love. There are only 90ish days from the start of this project to the end so again, not sure I can realistically use these all up, but I will give it the old college try.

My rocky relationship with Sharpies starts with the smell of paint and ends up, well, gone. As in, missing. Did I leave them at work? Did I throw them away? Did they roll back behind my desk because I left a round pen on a slanted surface? Who knows. Point is, I do not think I have ever used a full sharpie start to finish which out losing it. Or leaving the cap off and making it dry out. Or making the tip super dull and hard. My goal is to use these bad boys, exclusively in my planner, until the end of the year or until they die. Or I lose them. Or make the tip dull.

Next is the Happy Planner sticker book. I do not own a Happy Planner but ask anyone, they have some of the best stickers. I chose this pack which has 30 sticker pages (again, will not finish) because I actually have two of these packs and honestly do not use them as much as I thought (or really ever).

It has very generic every day type stickers so even though I know I won’t go grocery shopping 25 times by the end of 2018, I think I can make a nice dent in it now and then use it up next year.

Lastly, I have the color blocks/kits. These are made for the design of the Happy Planner which has these rectangular boxes. Well, I don’t have a Happy Planner but I love the stickers so I end up with these boxes and nothing to really do with them. They are really pretty but I am not ready to give them up yet. As you can see in the first picture, I was about to sort of cut these up and make them work for my style of planner. It was kind of a pain in the ass if we are being honest but I was able to use them. I think I picked 16 pages (at random, I just ripped a chunk out of my book) and there are only 13 weeks so I will not be able to use all of the pages but I will be able to use most of them.
And there we have it. This isn’t a full project use it up because it is only 3 months and I am only selecting items that I know I can use. For next year, I may throw some more challenging items in.
I will probably post one update a month until the end of the year so be expecting updates.
