Halfway through NaNoWriMo

And I do not have anything to show for it! I have written of course; for work, writing a letter to my mother for her birthday and doodles. But I have not been productive for NaNoWriMo. I  haven’t given up yet because I have a couple of days off from work next week and I know I will be able to get a chunk of that 50,000 written. I hope I can pull it together soon!

Reality Check

I am in serious need of a reality check. For the past couple weeks, I have really not been caring about dieting or weight loss. I would often go periods when I would be off my diet then back on but the month of October has been pitiful. I get these tiny reality checks from time to time but today I got a reality check that made me feel pretty fat.

Is that me?

Yikes! That looks horrible! I am extremely embarrassed that this was captured in a photo! You can my rolls, where my belly “dunlopped over” and oh goodness…the bunchy crotch! I just look so sloppy. I really need to make some changes. I don’t believe I can keep going like this. Later, I will post some more photos and measurements. It is time to see some results!

Every year since I’ve graduated from High School I have told myself that I will take part in the National Novel Writing Month. Every year I start out strong and write every day, often times spending a whole day writing. And every year, usually around the middle of the month, I quit. Not deliberately but it always seems to happen. This year I will write 50,000 words.

I always wanted to be a writer but lack of time and determination has really stopped me. I view writing as a hobby and not necessarily as a career. Even if I cannot write everyday, I will reach my goal.

Happy National Novel Writing Month!

GMAT and GRE

Recently, my boss pulled myself and two other employees from my company into a meeting and discussed our future with the company. A lot of situations were thrown about but the one that seemed the most plausible was a tuition reimbursement program. It seems like an awesome opportunity but my boss meant specifically in business. I have very little to no concept of business. I have some sociological and life experience but in terms of management, inventory, and tax stuff I am completely clueless. I looked into some courses and with how much I have worked lately, adding more to that load would be unbearable. Instead I chose the same route that I chose with the GRE and bought some study guides.

Study Guides

I haven’t done much arithmetic for the past few years so I have a lot to catch up on. I took the practice test and bombed. I will be studying my ass off for the next couple months for both the GRE and the GMAT.
