For Christmas, my Aunt Shannon got me a Diamond Candle. A Diamond Candle is a candle that has a Diamond Ring in a foil package hidden in the wax. The rings are either values at $10, $100, $500 or $5000. These candles cost $24.95 but they actually give a good amount of discount and referral codes. They also have a clearance section where I have seen candles going for $19.95. I had heard quite a bit these candles but hadn’t told anyone that I wanted one so I was pleased to receive one. Honestly, the candle made me nervous at first and made me feel inadequate. Melted wax is hot so how was I supposed to get it out? What if I missed it and burned the ring? Lucky for you, I documented the ring excavation.

At first, the process was a little boring. I was basically just watching a candle burn. Then I started to see the foil package.

At this point I was starting to get excited but I needed to burn it a bit more. After a few minutes, I stopped caring and grabbed a pair of tweezers and went for it.

It was like buried treasure! Except kind of gross and sticky. It was still kind of enjoyable though. I used tweezers to pull it out which was a very good idea because like my fears, it was hot.

It also didn’t look very appealing. At this point I didn’t care that it was hot and waxy, I just wanted to rip it open.

Inside the foil, the ring is in a plastic bag with the reveal code. You are supposed to enter the reveal code on the Diamond Candle website but in my haste to get the waxy mess in the trash, I threw it away.

And here she is! It is a heart with wings. Even without the reveal code, I could tell it wasn’t the most expensive ring but it actually looked lovely, and well crafted. It just wasn’t my style.

Pros:

• Candle was cinnamon roll scented, which smelled delicious, and they have a wide variety of scents.
• The candle was pretty large and lasted a while. I still have about an inch left.
• It was really exciting to find the foil and open it up.
• The price for the size of the candle plus the ring isn’t shabby at all. Especially if you get one of the more expensive rings.

Cons:

• The ring wasn’t my style.
• It was a bit messy.

Honestly, I would definitely buy one of these candles. They are reasonably priced and the excitement of getting the ring is worth it. I have read about some people thinking they are a scam but even if you don’t get the most expensive ring out there, the candle itself is still a good purchase.
